Why the air delivery chute is blocked in use

Air conveying chute is a kind of pneumatic conveying equipment widely used for conveying dry powder materials. It is often used to convey cement and raw material powder in the cement industry. Because the air conveying chute has no moving parts in the process of conveying materials, it has the advantages of low wear, convenient maintenance, low power consumption, low material consumption, no noise, good sealing, simple structure, safe and reliable operation, easy change of material flow direction, multi-point in and out of materials and other advantages. Compared with the belt conveyor, the screw conveyor and the scraper conveyor have the same power. Therefore, it has been widely adopted by many enterprises in recent years.

The air conveying chute will be blocked during use. The specific reasons are summarized as follows:

(1) Due to the large grate of the grinding tail screen plate, the slag discharge of the rotating screen is not clear, and more iron slag and small pieces in the abrasive enter the air conveying chute. These iron slag accumulate on the breathable layer, causing the material to be blocked, the breathable layer is not breathable, the air blown into the material is difficult to fully fluidiize, and the transportation is difficult, resulting in blockage.

(2) Due to the low temperature of the clinker, the cooling of the mill water is not suitable; the large amount of water sprayed in the mill; the barrel of the mill is surrounded by water, and the water penetrates from the loose bolts, and the excessive free water makes part of the cement hydrated. The moisture content of the abrasive material itself is high. These will cause the air conveying chute breathable layer permeability is poor, easy to be blocked.

(3) Due to the poor sealing of the air conveying chute, there is a lot of air leakage, the material cannot be fully fluidized, and the conveying is difficult, causing blockage.

(4) As the perforated plates in the air conveying chute are broken and there are gaps between the perforated plates, part of the air blown by the fan is ejected from the gaps to form an air column. The materials are blocked here and accumulate more and more, causing the air duct to be blocked.

(5) Due to the small installation inclination of the air conveying chute, the material flow speed in the tank is slow. The sudden change in the nature of the conveyed material or the sudden decrease in air volume and pressure can easily block the air duct.

(6) Due to the untimely exhaust of the upper tank of the air conveying chute, there is more residual gas above the materials in the tank, and there is a certain positive pressure but non-zero pressure or slight negative pressure in the upper tank. As a result, the material on the breathable layer is subjected to downward pressure, the material is not suspended, and it is not easy to be evenly distributed or fluidized, resulting in blockage of the chute.

(7) As there is a large amount of material in the air conveying chute during shutdown, the temperature of the material drops after shutdown, causing condensation, and the material is sticky and does not diverge. After starting, the material flow in the chute is not smooth, and the transportation is difficult, resulting in blockage.
