The Announcement of the People's Republic of China National Standards (No. 42 of 2012) issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the National Standards Committee announced 169 national standards, among which the Energy Consumption Limit per Cement Product (GB16780-2012) is listed. The new national standard will replace the GB16780-2007 standard and will be implemented on October 1, 2013. The new standard adds four step-by-step energy consumption indicators: power consumption in raw material preparation section, coal consumption in clinker firing section, power consumption in clinker firing section and power consumption in cement preparation section, which will adjust the industrial structure, transform and upgrade, control the total amount and eliminate the cement industry.

The "the People's Republic of China National Standards Announcement (2012 No. 42)" issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the National Standards Committee announced 169 national standards, and the "Cement Unit Product Energy Consumption Limit" (GB 16780-2012) is listed among them. The new national standard will replace the GB 16780-2007 standard and will be implemented on October 1, 2013.

The new standard adds four step-by-step energy consumption indicators: power consumption in raw meal preparation section, coal consumption in clinker firing section, power consumption in clinker firing section and power consumption in cement preparation section, which will play a positive role in promoting the industrial structure adjustment, transformation and upgrading, total control, elimination of backward production capacity and standardization of industry development in the cement industry.

The Building Materials Office of the Autonomous Region will organize experts to revise the "Statistical Code for Energy Efficiency of Xinjiang Cement Enterprises" according to the new standards, and conduct training on relevant contents at the right time in combination with the progress of energy efficiency benchmarking activities in the cement industry.
